The AQA Certificate in Science (iGCSE) (Double Award)

The AQA Certificate in Science (iGCSE) (Double Award) is currently with Ofqual and is pending accreditation.

The Double Award is a combination of the Biology, Chemistry and Physics content and:

• is available in two tiers (foundation and higher)
• shares common content with the separate science specifications
• gives candidates a solid foundation in overall Science.

Topics include:

• plants as organisms
• evolution
• rates of reaction
• crude oils and fuel
• nuclear physics.

The course is assessed in a linear format by six 60-minute examinations, of equal weighting.
